Report on characteristics...

The Junior Doctors Committee of the Croatian Medical Chamber performed an online survey, between August 15th- 31st 2016, among EJD members on characteristics of residency programmes in their countries. The questions covered the general characteristics of residencies, concepts, legislation, financing, mentoring system, surveillance of performance of residency programmes and other related questions.
The results of the survey and this report have shown the special characteristics of the medical residency programmes in some of the EU countries. Even though there are many common points among the countries, the legislation, surveillance and financing of the medical residency programmes differ among countries, mostly in the responsibility of the institutions.
