EJD present at CEOM Plenary and UEMO Spring Meetings
EJD was represented by Alvaro Cerame, Medical Workforce Committee Chairperson and Diana Goncalves, UEMO Liaison Officer at the Plenary Meeting of the European Council of Medical Orders (CEOM) and the Plenary Meeting of the European Union of Medical Practitioners (UEMO), which both took place in Brussels from 2-3 June, 2023.
EJD representatives had the opportunity to address the audience of both meetings with a presentation on updates from EJD's current work in progress, mainly focusing on Medical Workforce Planning and Burnout/Psychosocial Wellbeing of doctors in Europe, thus echoing the conclusions of the recent EJD Spring Meeting-General Assembly in Riga, earlier this year. They also were given the chance to actively engage in important discussions with representatives from various countries participating in both meetings, as well as members of the leadership teams of both CEOM and UEMO, fostering further collaboration between EJD and EMOs.
EJD is looking forward organizing a joint event with UEMO during the upcoming Autumn Meeting-General Assembly of EJD that will take place in Murcia, Spain, later this year in October.
