EJD present at EHMA Conference, Rome, 5-7 June 2023

EJD participated recently at the EHMA (European Health Management Association) 2023 Conference that was held in the Italian capital, Rome from 4-5 June, co-organized by EHMA and ALTEMS – Graduate School of Health Economics and Management, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, EHMA-member from Italy.
‘Health management: sustainable solutions for complex systems’ was the theme of EHMA 2023. The conference was attended by Administration Officer, Ellen McCourt and EU/EEA Committee Chairperson, Sara Launio, who presented EJD's views on several topics, based on latest projects, surveys and policy statements that emerged from our statutory meetings. Those were the following:
- Management responses to violence against healthcare workers (Workshop by Dr Ellen Kuhlmann, Dr Marius Ungureanu, Dr Ellen McCourt, Rolf-André Oxholm, Zoi Mylona, Dr Michell Falkenbach)
- Violence against doctors and health care workers: a view from junior doctors across Europe (by Dr Ellen McCourt, Dr Alvaro Cerame, Mr Mathias Korner, Dr Francisco Mourao)
- Towards effective retention policies: working hours and EWTD compliance in Junior Doctors in Europe 2022 (by Dr Alvaro Cerame, Dr Ellen McCourt, Dr Francisco Ribeiro)
- Junior Doctors’ perception on the emerging and pressing issues on healthcare in Europe (by Dr Alvaro Cerame, Dr Ellen McCourt, Dr Francisco Ribeiro)
Apart from the above mentioned interventions, EJD representatives had the opportunity to further strengthen the EJD-EHMA relationship, looking forward in much more collaboration to come in the near future between the two associations.
