On Friday the 21st October 2011 representatives from the Executive Board of EJD attended the ISNIH National Career Congress at Palais Brongniart in Paris. This congress provides help for Junior Doctors for a lot of important decisions of their future, like the workplace of internship or the setup of a professional career.
“Les rencontres de l'ISNIH” is giving doctors the opportunity to meet all partners from the professional medical life, public or private stakeholders in hospitals and ambulatory settings. It was an inspiring congress, with a maximum of information for a future career in France, be it the private or public medical service. Various issues of the medical profession were addressed and the get-together offered an overall good way to enter in contact with the future employers.
There were several presentations in the afternoon, all happening in an uncomplicated atmosphere. EJD also had the opportunity to enter into fruitful discussions with members of the French Public Health Authority, who were present with an own stall. The French government conducts a program called CESP, which supports residents, who are committed to work in medically undersupplied rural or oversea areas.
